Clean baking utensils – easily remove dough residue

When baking, dough residue remains on many kitchen utensils. Mixing bowls, dough hooks, dough scrapers and baking tins in particular can become heavily soiled after baking.

With the right approach, however, this residue can be removed much more easily.

Which baking utensils are particularly affected?

Typical places where dough residue remains:

  • Mixing bowls
  • Dough hooks
  • Dough scrapers
  • Baking tins
  • Work surfaces

Remove dough residue properly

1. Remove coarse dough residue

First remove larger pieces with a dough scraper.

2. Use cold or lukewarm water

Very hot water can cause components of the dough to adhere more strongly to surfaces.

3. Loosen dough residue mechanically

The Teiger® dough cleaning cloth can mechanically loosen dough residue from baking utensils.

The open mesh structure helps remove sticky residue from the surface.
