Remove stubborn dirt in the kitchen

Dough residue in the bowl, burnt-on food in the pan or sticky grease after cooking: some kitchen dirt is difficult to remove with a normal dishcloth. Here you will find practical cleaning tips and learn how Teiger® can be used for many stubborn residues.

Target stubborn kitchen dirt

Not all dirt is the same. Dried dough behaves differently from grease or burnt-on residue. That is why we have summarized the most important applications in separate guides.

Remove dough residue

Dough can stick to bowls, dough hooks, work surfaces and baking utensils and become particularly stubborn as it dries. Our guide shows how fresh and dried-on dough residue can be loosened more easily.

Remove burnt-on residue

Grease, protein, starch and other food components can bond firmly to pots, pans, baking trays or casserole dishes under high heat. Moistening or soaking followed by mechanical cleaning helps loosen the residue.

Remove grease residue

Fresh grease splashes are often quick to remove. If grease dries or combines with food residue, however, a stubborn layer forms, especially on pans, baking tins, cooking utensils and around the hob.

Clean the grill grate

High temperatures meet grease, marinade and food residue on the grill grate. Once completely cooled, loose residue can be removed and firmly adhering grill residue tackled specifically.

Clean a ceramic hob

Boiled-over food, grease splashes and dried cooking residue are typical dirt on a hob. With the right approach they can be loosened without resorting to harsh scouring sponges.

Why a normal dishcloth is often not enough

Densely woven dishcloths are good for absorbing and wiping away light dirt. With firmly adhering residue, however, they often lack mechanical action. This is where Teiger® differs: its single-layer, open mesh structure supports the loosening of stubborn residue.

Teiger®: not just for dough

Teiger® was developed for cleaning dough residue but is much more versatile. It can be used for all baking and cooking utensils and for many stubborn kitchen residues. The flexible mesh cloth wraps around edges and curves and helps remove residue effortlessly and without scratches.

Reusable and dishwasher-safe

After use, rinse Teiger® thoroughly. For heavier dirt it can simply be cleaned in the dishwasher. The cloth is reusable, food-safe, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, has a reinforced edge and is made in Germany.
