Remove dough from work surfaces – clean the kitchen after baking

When kneading and shaping, dough residue quickly ends up on the work surface. Soft bread, sourdough and pizza dough in particular can stick and smear when simply wiped.

Remove fresh dough residue from the work surface

  1. First pick up larger amounts with a dough scraper.
  2. Moisten remaining residue with cold to lukewarm water.
  3. Mechanically loosen and pick up the dough.
  4. Then clean and dry the surface according to the respective material.

For dried-on dough

First moisten hardened dough residue and allow it to soften briefly. Less force is then needed to loosen it.
